After presenting to a large crowd at the Venture Café in 2022, Don Logue was excited to introduce himself to the board. Don had spent a large part of his career doing urban redevelopment, and was very interested in the Urban EcoBlock concept we’d just shared. After months of continued engagement, the board saw fit to invite Don to join the board.

Don has over forty years of experience advising both public and private organizations on strategic solutions in community development and healthcare issues with significant nonprofit executive experience. Highlights include:

  • Five years spearheading public/private community development partnership efforts in Springfield, Illinois during the early 1980s, including Springfield’s innovative sixty-five block downtown redevelopment program.
  • Twenty years of work as a turnaround specialist, developing, renovating, and managing troubled healthcare projects scattered throughout the U.S.
  • Fifteen years consulting on various commercial real estate projects involving brokerage, development, and property management, while also advocating at both the state and federal levels for innovation in the delivery of healthcare services for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

He is currently focused on promoting sustainable and livable community standards through wholistic strategic planning approaches. Don is a founding director of the Ferguson based nonprofit Community Forward, Inc., a member of Washington University’s Institute of Public Health Patient Research Advisory Board (PRAB) and serves on the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis’ Metro Housing Task Force. He holds a B.A. Degree in Political Science from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of International Management Degree from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management.

We are grateful to benefit from Don’s experience and expertise!
